First steps to minimize damage

Disconnect the battery immediately.

Do not attempt to start the car.

Dry the ECU externally without applying direct heat.

Contact an electronics specialist (such as Ecumotorstock) for evaluation.

What NOT to do after flooding

Do not use hair dryers or excessive heat.

Do not attempt to clean with sprays or alcohol.

Do not reconnect the battery without checking its internal condition.

This can aggravate internal damage and render the control unit irreparable.

Is it possible to recover a wet ECU?
